Fairmont original knife style ignition switch Since we have taken over for Les, we have had several inquiries for the original style knife switch, for some of the two cycle cars. We, of course have no better source for original of these, than anyone else, but we have found a man that is replicating them, and we have purchased a supply of them. The switch base is cast from plastic, and the brass knife and contact components are hand made, making these replicas a bit labor intensive. As you can see in the photograph, the plastic even picked up some imperfections that had been distorted in the original sample that he used. This can either be buffed out, or left, as "Character", to the switch. Add one of these switches to your car, to bring it a little bit closer to the way it was shipped from Fairmont. Now available, the A-1367 Screen, for the C-5 and C-8 carburetors. One of the last new parts Les was having made, had not arrived before the business was sold. Les sent these along with the rest of the two cycle business, so that we could offer them to the motorcar community. These are identical to the original, in size, shape and makeup. Many cars are out there running on screens that were made sixty or more years ago, and many are running around out there, with these screens either missing, or badly mangled due to improper installation. Now, you can replace that screen, with this newly manufactured screen.

2 CYCLE IGNITION COIL - The original Pontiac and Detroit coils used in Fairmont single cylinder motorcars by the factory have long been out of production and functional ones have been both expensive and difficult to find - until now! We have reproduced the original coil as a newly manufactured product that is an exact replica of the original as used in Fairmont single cylinder motorcars. FORD MODEL"T" STYLE 2 CYCLE IGNITION COIL - We now offer newly manufactured spark coils that work extremely well in Fairmont single cylinder motorcars. These coils will work equally well in both 6 and 12 volt electrical systems. Coils are not voltage sensitive.This coil is actually a modified Ford Model T (originally manufactured for Ford by K-W) coil. It has been modified for Fredricksburg Shops by having the original "button" style terminals replaced with screw on fittings that are the same as Fairmont supplied on all Pontiac and Detroit coils. The original model T coils always worked very well in our 2 cycle cars, but because of the "button" style contacts, required soldering of leads or other modifications before we could use them. The picture at the left shows three coils stacked to illustrate each side of the box. The modified terminals can easily be seen. Click on the picture for a larger view.

- At one time, Fairmont
used the Model T coil in 2 cycle cars. These coils fit in an adapter bracket
to alllow them to easily mount in the standard tool box. We obtained an
original bracket and reproduced it as illustrated here.

CYCLE IGNITION COIL ADJUSTING AND TESTING BOX
- This testing box provides
a quick and easy way to test and adjust a 2 cycle ignition coil. It can
be used on our modified Model T coils, the original Fairmont supplied
Detroit or Pontiac coil, or the coil used in the 2 cylinder Fairmont M19AA
car. It contains an amp meter which is needed to properly adjust the points
for efficient operation. It provides provisions for testing a spark plug
with the coil or using a built in spark plug gap if a plug is not available.
Feeler gauges to adjust the points are included.

STARTING CRANK BRACKETS - These brackets are used to attach the starting crank to the side of engine box. These brackets are powder coated and are an exact replacement for the original.

CRANK SUPPORT CASTING - We have had numerous requests
to produce the crank support bracket that mounts on the car side rail. The
bracket is easily broken if the crank has an accidental side load. We have
recast these from an original pattern. Even if yours is in good shape, it's
not a bad idea to have a spare.

CRANK HOLE PROTECTOR - This guard is placed on
the engine side panel to protect the finish from damage that occurs if the
crank is not exactly centered when inserted in the hole.

and are just like the original. Be careful - these caps look almost alike,
but the fuel cap is vented and the hopper neck cap is not - don't mix them
up!

FUEL TANK & HOPPER TANK FILLER NECK - These
are new production and are just like the original. If you have a leaking
hopper filler and have already replaced the cap, the problem is probably
the neck. A radiator shop can solder these in place in a hopper or fuel
tank. Be sure the fuel tank has been properly cleaned out and made gas free
before applying heat.

FENDERS AND FOOTPLATES - PRE-1941 We
have just produced this set of castings using one of the few surviving original
set as a pattern. If you are restoring an early M19, these castings will
make an imposible job easy. The right front fender contains the crank support
in the casting.

STYLE ENGINE BOX COVER LATCH LEVERS - These castings are very rare. They are used to secure the seat box (engine
box) cover on early Fairmont cars. They were used on the M9 as well as the
M19 and possible others. They are mounted on a carriage bolt through a bushing
with a small spring used to maintain tension and secured by a bolt. The
"wing" on the latch engages a slot on the engine box frame and compresses
the spring to maintain tension.

CASTINGS
USED TO FABRICATE WINDSHIELDS FOR M9 AND OTHER OPEN CARS! These
castingsare impossible to find so we decided to make them available. The
elbows are used to attach the windshield posts to the horizontal cross members.
The smaller castings are used to support the windshield posts and anchor
them to the car frame.

BATTERY RACK This rack is the proper size to hold
a NAPA garden tractor battery. This rack is like the original Fairmont one
that fits to the left of the axle pulley. Can be used to install a larger
battery than the ones frequently found in the tool box. A larger battery
is useful when installing an alternator to power NARCOA required lighting.

AXLE PULLEY - M9 and M19 - Cast aluminum rear axle drive pulleys are now available for the M9 and M19. The rear axle pulley is an easisly damaged, high wear item that has been very difficult to find. We are now in full production on both these pulleys
